Under the theme "Welcome the World, Race in Anhui," the event is a top-level international competition tailored by the FIA for new energy vehicles and the only Asian round among the 11 global rounds of the 2026 season. It opened at Luogang Park in Hefei on September 10, with the route passing through the cities of Hefei, Anqing, Chizhou, Huangshan, Xuancheng and Wuhu. A total of 120 drivers from 10 countries competed, including 13 international teams and 47 domestic teams.

On the same day, guests visited Chery's intelligent manufacturing plant and Global Technology Innovation Center in groups, experiencing firsthand the unique charm of Wuhu, the river city, where millennia-old Jiuzi heritage and modern manufacturing complement each other. They also gained an in-depth understanding of the city's achievements in new energy vehicle development.
