Wuhu University

Wuhu University is a full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China, funded by a large state-owned investment group of Wuhu Municipality and administered by the Department of Education of Anhui Province.
The university currently has 10,383 enrolled students and comprises nine schools: the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Electronic Information, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Computational Science, the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering, the School of Management, the School of Humanities and Education, the School of Arts and Physical Education, and the School of Marxism. Committed to a mission of "serving local needs, cultivating application-oriented talent, and developing distinctive educational features," the university precisely aligns with regional demands and dedicates itself to fostering high-quality application-oriented professionals.
In recent years, the university has continuously adjusted and optimized its program structure to closely serve the local "priority industries" and strategic emerging industries. It currently offers 34 undergraduate programs, spanning seven disciplinary categories including engineering, literature, management, and arts. Over 80 percent of these programs serve emerging and future industries. The university has established eight program clusters—automotive engineering, intelligent manufacturing, integrated circuits, big data and artificial intelligence, materials chemistry, finance and management, digital creativity, and humanities education—building a disciplinary and programmatic layout centered on engineering, with coordinated development of literature, economics, management, arts, and other disciplines.
