Anhui University of Applied Sciences is a public vocational undergraduate institution established in May 2026 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China, built upon the former Anhui Business College and Anhui Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. It is administered by the People's Government of Anhui Province. The university currently operates two campuses, Wenchang and Fanchang, with a total full-time student enrollment of over 18,000.

Aligned with the development of local priority industries, the university offers six full-time undergraduate programs: Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation; Robotics Technology; New Energy Vehicle Engineering Technology; Big Data and Financial Management; E-commerce; and Modern Logistics Management. It has also established 15 distinctive program clusters, offering 65 full-time higher vocational programs, including Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Mechatronics Technology, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, Big Data and Accounting, International Economics and Trade, and Network Journalism and Communication.

The university has been accredited as a "Friendship College for China-International People-to-People Exchange." It is a first-batch pilot institution under the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Education, a member of the China & Africa (South Africa) Technical and Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance (CASATVECA), an executive council member of the China-Ukraine Vocational Education Alliance, and a member of both the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Federation and the Luban Workshop Construction Alliance.
